Mine is too short for a lever action. I don't know how that 96/22 would look with a 4.5" barrel.

Yeah, and with the SB-X barrel, it might as well be an SBR anyhow. I'll probably just leave it alone...besides, I'm about to dump another bucket of money in Dobbs Defense here in the next few weeks when my stamp comes in on the M92....so another project isn't really in the cards at the moment.

Mine is a pocket rifle which is cool in an entirely different way. I sure wish I could luck into one of those 96/22s. I would SBR it and drop Operative S on it. Sweet rig either way. I'm jealous.
