How did you pick your college football team?

I like Vanderbilt and love when their quarterback told reporter that he always wanted to play football and God told him that he would one day play on a big field and beat a big team! Used to be a Bulldog fan when Vince Dooley and Mark Rich were coaching! Mark was a great Christian man! We all have our reasons for choosing which team to pull for. My wife is a gamecock fan being she was born and raised in Carolina and went to school there. Gives me something to aggravate her about!

I think for most people, it's where they went to college or maybe where their kids go.

See some folks that I think, just want to be part of the "group" discussion and take part in the rivalries so they just pick a big winning program. For most that would be the local team, but maybe they pick one out of state just to be different.

I bet most on here that are big cheerleaders, didn't actually attend and graduate from the college their cheer for so hard for each week. Now that part I don't understand.

I graduated from LSU so, yeah, obvious fan, but I was always amazed at the number of fans, who never attended school there, from Mississippi, I saw at games. Ms State, Ole Miss and Southern Miss yet they're LSU fans?

Oh man, this has always been a difficult subject for me. Because I grew up in FL and a Seminoles fan but went to undergrad in Hawaii, then graduate school in Virginia but taught at Georgia Institute of Technology. Then both my boys go to Georgia Southern University. So essentially, I have like 5 favorite college teams. So I guess it's whomever playing at the time. All I do know is #THWG

Grew up around athens, whole family is bulldog fans, then all of a sudden my cousin starts routing for the gators, for no apparent reason. Might have had a head injury nobody knows about. Only thing that would explain it

Grew up a Dawgs fan. We were dirt road poor no one could afford to go to UGA at the time. I graduated from the distinguished campus of Mercer University @ Thornton Rd. - GI Bill and work. But we are able to send our oldest son to UGA - he is currently a Sophomore, A + student, and having the time of his life.

I was born a Bull Dawg fan, also like the Seminoles( not really sure why), loathe the entire state of Alabama, and I hate that stupid rocky top song.

Ohio State obviously for me, went there, wife is a Vanderbilt grad, our kids all Auburn alums and a granddaughter going to Colorado.

Dad would catch a ride with the AJC delivery truck from Hapeville to Athens back in the late 40s when he was a kid.Watch the game from the railroad tracks. I never considered rooting for any other foreign team.
