I'm from Ga and given that we only have the two major football teams; I became a UGA fan. I understand rooting for your "home" team. I do not understand rooting for another team that you have no ties with. For instance: why are so many Georgians Alabama fans? I contend its because they are a winning team and not because they are true fans. Using 'Bama as the example, the world may never know since Alabama isn't likely to have a horrible season anytime soon to see who all jumps off the bandwagon...

Grew up in Bama. Raised on Bama. My whole family attended the university of Alabama. I missed out and joined the Army at 18 but I am and always will be an Alabama fan. My Dads cousin Danny Ridgeway played for Alabama as a Kicker.

I am 100% behind you being a 'Bama fan... It wouldn't make any sense for you to root for anyone else!! That's my point.

And incidentally, I bought a set of those very cards for my old LT when he retired in July. Yes, it hurt to buy anything Alabama!!

Grew up in Georgia since I was 12. My fiance, then wife, went to UGA. I finished college at South Carolina while stationed at Myrtle Beach AFB. Our son-in-law went to Tennessee. Now he and my daughter operate a Chick-fil-A in Auburn, AL, and coordinate CFA food service for Auburn sporting events.

We're all over the map. But at the end of the day my wife and I are Bulldogs through and through.

Wife got to watch Herschel Walker play ball and occasionally see him on the campus busses.
