How do you get away from life's stress/hardships?

lots of rivers in GA, give it a try! let someone know when to expect your return and leave the phone turned off at home, maybe in your pack for emergencies but you gotta disconnect to truly relax!
My circle is small so my phone doesn't bother me at all, 25 or less numbers in my phone and only use a handful

oops, I did see that, nature and the open road have always done it for me. never really volunteered but have helped others before and as others have mentioned it does give you satisfaction helping others in need.
I enjoy biking too, lots of parks in GA.

My Father is the Administrator at Calvary Childrens Home in Powder Springs. My Grandfather built/Started it back in the late 60's. My father took over head duties 40 years ago. They are always looking for volunteers/help with all types of things. If you are interested PM me and I will get you contact info.
I think my son was with a group of teenagers helping there a while back

He got put In charge of burning the old furniture and ceiling fans and stuff?

It really helps me to just go in the woods
There's so many great places to hike in the mountains in north ga

And most times I don't hike on a trail. Just find a corset service road and drive till you see a interesting spot and park and start walking

Take some snacks and water and spend a few hours just walking and sitting in the sun

Go into the zone at the range.....often, for high speed lead therapy. Just me, my guns and the target. I also put all my change in jars labeled "Costa Rica Fund". When things get real bad, I can disappear and rake the beach there. My fantasy back up plan. Of course my constant running conversations with God keeps me from doing stupid things like chucking it all, disappearing and raking the beach in Costa Rica.

Personally and truthfully , I just go walking in the woods ,find a nice place to sit and think. Life is hard , but i would'nt have it (for me ) no other way . I really love for my youngest to go with me , we sit and talk for hours . my oldest stays in the books most of the time , but that young one can come up with some funny stuff so it's really a good day..One other thing when i talk to him it usually turns to gun talk and he tells me things about ww2 guns i never even seen or heard .Believe it or not , i look it up and he's right . I guess that's my relaxation time .
