Buddy had one of these in barracks at college.
We only had the big stereo console ,tv in the living room.
After my sister moved out we used her record player.
Then my brother left and it was mine. It was decent.
In the 70s we had 8 tracks
Not until I got my own car did I have my own good sounding stereo

People from the 80s will get it.
I picked up a Akai 5000 with Crossfield heads from overseas 1970.
At work I used an R-390 HF receiver hooked to an HF Log Periodic antenna hanging from a 200 foot tower. I could pick up some pirate stations and there was AFRTS on the air with the tops of the pop country, rock and classic (depending on what time it was). After work there was my AM/FM clock radio. Those were the good old days.
