What is a good price on a none matching Eddystone 1917 that went through WW2 re-aresenal?
A good condition 1917 with a good bore original barrel and good condition stock would be worth more like 700-800, depending on how good the condition is. They have really jumped up in the last couple of years, and it has become uncommon to be able to find original barrels with a good bore.
Does it still have its original Eddystone barrel or has it been replaced? Most WW2 replacements are marked JA. If it has had the barrel replaced you would want to check the receiver for cracks where the barrel screws in. There are a lot of Eddystone receivers that were cracked when the barrels were replaced.
Almost all 1917 were overhauled, but if it has a good bore and a good stock, with decent finish, i think it would be worth over $600.
