Well Bill ( wildbill1973z28 ), you were partially to blame for my negative. I was selling my first item on here, date change a couple times with the original buyer and you PMed me. Still have the PM, and I quote, "no one on the trader will blame u for selling it to me for more money, my offer is a bettrr offer”. Having just joined, I did not know/understand the rules of the site. Live and learn.

Ive dealt so much online, yardsales, estate sales, etc. that haggling is just part of the game unless you explicitly state FIRM. I never offered above ask, and never have someone offer above ask.

It was precovid, just listed and a good deal even at full asking price. Seller told me later, that I was first to PM and he quickly got other PMs for full price.

Yes today's market is very different....full price PLUS 250 rds of 9mm!

Oh yes I have....bought and sold. That is a very different situation from stuff listed on ODT.

I gave an older gentleman some extra cash when I met him. He had no idea what his collectible gun was worth and I didn’t feel right taking advantage of him.
I still made a little money on the gun when I sold it years later.
And I slept better.

Not really. Still supply and demand.

A buyer is willing to pay what it’s worth to them... not specifically what it’s worth to the seller. That works all the same whether it’s below (or above) asking price.
