Reminds me of Hershel at the farm when it was overrun by walkers.

The gun manufacturers must've had really low quality standards, with all those S&W and Colt revolvers from the 1970s having the hammer droop back into the forward resting position just several seconds after having been manually brought to full cock.
Must have been a defective batch of leaky gas seals on the hammer retraction struts of the era.
