Huey rides/ Airshow in Gainsville Ga

The Army Aviation Heritage Foundation/ Sky Soldiers will have 2 Huey helicopters at the Lee Gilmer Memorial airport on Palmour Dr Gainsville Ga July 9 2011. They will be taking people up in the Huey's, cost is $50.00 per person, there will also be an airshow that day. If you haven't done this before, it is an awesome experience, the side doors to the Huey's are open for an unforgetable flight, my 2 kids came back with smiles on their faces that Comet wouldn't take off! If you are in the Gainsville area stop in.

From recent experiences I have found that some people are confused as to what a Huey is. Evidentally some think that a Chinook is called a Huey.

i would love to do this, but i have to be at work at one on sat....now if i could get the 0900 flight, i could do that....my dad was a gunship pilot in viet nam from 65-66, and an instructor pilot at ft. rucker from 66 to 67... he would get a kick out of me doing this...what would really be cool is the cobra ride....

If you are there early you should have no problem.
