Hunting Education

A friend told me that I don't have to take Hunters Education class to be able to hunt legally if I was over the age of 26. I wanted to ask those who knew if this was true, that all is required is a hunting license. I have recently started getting interested in hunting. Thanks!

Last I heard its if your under 14 accompanied by an adult or born before 1964 you don't need to take the class.

Yes young man you do have to take the course to hunt legally.
Man It's no big deal and kinda fun to get together with like minded individuals. Some of the DNR guys teaching the course spread a little humor and maker it fun. It only takes a little while. There is an online component to it that shortens the class time and it's really not bad at all. The hardest part for me in the past has been finding a class to attend that's not full. I've taken it several times with my kids and look forward to taking my grandkids to get their certification. It's become kind of a right of passage.
