Hunting Suppressed

I killed a deer with my. 300 blk out suppressed with subs before. I used 200 gr makers rex bullets. The key is to research and find a bullet that is built to expand at subsonic velocities. You also will need to treat it like your bow hunting with a rifle. So try to mainly take broadside and quartered away shots that are 100 yards and in. It worked for me. Bullet opened up and it looked like someone had dumped a can of paint through the woods. This was the wound channel from that bulletView attachment 9619421
Excellent advice.

Bow hunting and sub sonic rounds are about the same distance for me.

Using subs and understanding bullet expansion at different ranges is a must.

I prefer super sonics when I go past 100 yards even though my subs might still be capable.

The 220gr makers and the 190gr SUB-X bullets are pure killers from 300blk when loaded subsonic. Those bullets are designed to open up at sub sonic velocities. If you search the internet you will see 100's of photos of deer taken with these bullets

Shooting animals past 100 yards is unethical FOR ME with subsonic rounds

I need to load up some SUB-X 190gr 308 it looks like. Most of my shots are always well withing bow range. 20-40yrd shots are the norm where I hunt. I don't get many surprises when I ground check them.
