Well there would have been enough security there before the attack that the terrorist would have never tried to attack in the first place.

But wait! Due to the nature of that attack, more security may very well have just meant a larger body count. God, I love arm chair commandos. Hind sight being 20/20 and all, I'm sure we all would have had 200 Marines in place and a couple of Blackhawks full of Seals on standby HAD we known when and where exactly the attack was going to occur. Yes, I know more security was requested. I'm sure it's requested from hundreds of embassies daily. Working in an embassy in some of these war torn countries ...hell, any country is a dangerous job. This wasn't the first embassy attack. It won't be the last. How secure should they all be? How many soldiers at the walls? You do realize that whatever stepped up security is in place will only change the type of attack and the body count, right? There is no tactical advantage against terrorist attacks from inside a boxed in compound exposed in the middle of enemy terror-tory. They have the tactical advantage every time.
