I caught this monster just below I-75 bridge on the Hooch today. Caught some others as well, but they were not photo worthy as this one could have easily eaten them.

Beautiful. Looks like a brown - rainbow mix. Lord knows. Great catch.

They get way bigger than that in there! Good fish, most people never catch one that big.
Same park, but probably 1/2 mile or so upriver from the actual spot you pointed out.

A hold over is a stocked fish that survives the fishing season and warm summer to live another year. It could be a larger recently stocked fish (they will stock some of their brood fish and some larger fish some times) but it's coloring and face make it look as if it has had more time in the wild.
Good fish no matter what though.
There are some monster trout in the Hooch by the way. They are just hard to find and most folks that know where they are won't share the locations. Keep working it. You may get lucky and stick an even bigger fish!!

My biggest out of the Hooch was 3 1/4 lbs.Nice fish you have there.
