I could really learn to hate my neighbors. Need to find the reference for the court case

The $500 - $750 ($45-$60ish a month) I quoted was for uncovered outdoor storage. I stored a van with a blown transmission for a couple of months @ $45 per in a junkyard until I unloaded it. You're right 187. It would be difficult for the OP to find a truly secure storage lot that would allow non-running vehicles.
Non-running? They all run. The truck doesn’t run well but it has a tag and so it is licensed and putting it in the carport would solve that issue.

The other 2 run fine. They just don’t have tags

Here it is: Peachtree City Municipal Code, Chapter 18, Buildings & Construction > Article X, Property Maintenance Code > Section 18-90, International Property Maintenance Code Adopted > Section (b)(3)b. I would have written 18-90(b)(3)b instead of 302.8.

302.8 is the corresponding section # in the International Property Maintenance Code.

As someone else said, it's a Peachtree City ordinance. I didn't see a similar one for the unincorporated parts of the county.

Good luck!

My point exactly! If it is not a FAYETTE County code or ordinance they can pound sand!

This is exactly why I didn’t buy into a HOA neighborhood.

It ain’t illegal just because they don’t like it. It must be a written law published and properly voted on. Peachtree muni codes aren’t enforceable outside city limits.

Tell it to da Judge. Marshall's office will set you an appointment. Just one piece of advice, whales only get harpooned when they rise to the surface.

You don’t go into the dragons den to fight the dragon. Loosing scenario. I am looking for a place to keep my vehicles off my property and considering a couple things that will drive some of the neighbors over the edge.

rockyfatcat,

I'm in the exact opposite position. My neighbors on either side are thoughtless idiots. One with dogs and the other with disgraceful yard "maintenance." In 17 years we've never said a word, yet every time they get an HOA letter they blame us and give us the cold shoulder treatment. I don't care, I just think it's amusing to see them so clueless and helpless when the evidence is right there in large neon signs. The latest was when the neighbor on the other side listed his house for sale, and the yard maintenance problems received an HOA letter. They assumed we triggered it, not the guy who's clearly trying to maximize his sale price.

Dumb and dumber. :-)

I live in a small subdivision. My immediate next door neighbor has OCD about land landscaping and ‘appearances’ I get lectured about my yard when he gets a chance.

This is the same guy who yells at his wife (retired truck driver) in a manner unlike I have ever heard spoken to anyone ever. The same guy who called me while I was working out of state asking my permission to cut down trees on my property in danger of damaging his house. Then he pays to have 12 trees removed from my front yard that would never come close to his home even in a hurricane.

I have neighbors down the street that have printed flyers and placed them in every mailbox, scolding us for not parking our vehicles on concrete.

I worked the first half of my life in law enforcement and have a healthy disrespect for certain government overreach. My response will be something most people will consider amusing, and ignore it. Others will be driven crazy by it
