I know this is an old topic, and as a retail manager I know how screwed the system is. My gripe with this one is that if you can't afford to feed your family why the Frick with you think getting a pet is a good idea?

Because you can feed your dog a raw diet off the EBT card !! A friend watched an EBT'r buy steaks and asked if the guy was grilling and he said "no, the steaks are for my dog because I can't buy dog food with this card".
