I had a date! A followup to a mysteriously closed thread.

Here is a selfie... with my wife..... Morgan Fairchild.... Yeah that's the ticket.

I don't know much about dating, but taking a selfie on a 1st date to post on an internet gun blog site that just went through a facelift???
Probably not the best way to get a 2nd date.:)

You need to stick with #1, for everybody. The fact you treat them differently should tell YOU something.

Neg, If i meet a girl in line at lunch counter and ask for her number, I am not going to say "Hi! I'm IMaDad, you're gorgeous, I'd love to buy you coffee and get to know you. By the way, I am a fulltime single dad of two."

I'm not saying I hold back information. If its like an online dating site, yeah it goes in the profile. If its not, I generally wait until they ask or it comes up. Never past the first date. Thats not wrong in my book, and i dont care if it is in yours.

I would use the "Hi you look great. How would you like to make $100 the hard way?"

Well then rock on. If I was her, my first thought when you dropped that bomb would be "What else has he held back on?". Your kids are your life. There are NOT anyone else's life. If you expect them to be (which I would hope you do) then that should absolutely be one of the FIRST thing any prospective date knows. There's a reason it goes in the profile in an online dating site. It's one of THE most important things to know about a person.
It's not about being 'wrong', it's about being smart. "Wrong" would be telling her on your wedding day. "Smart" (and kind) would be not wasting another adult's time.
Good luck.
