I hate how people think you have to be 21 to own a Handgun. It's annoying. Know your laws!

I'm going to venture out on a limb here and say that most haven't faced enough of the "real world" to make a wise decision on what degree to pursue. I still laugh at all those art, drama, dance, photography majors who had high aspirations to be in Nat Geo etc and are struggling to get by. You chose to express yourself but you want everything that comes with a more desirable degree? Ok....

I don't know if I want to be acting like I am 55 when I actually am....Sounds boring.
But that holds the same principle as a 55 year old buying a house that they know they cannot afford but they want it just because it is pretty....they will go into foreclosure in a few years and be in a less desirable home just as the people who choose a less lucrative major will be in a crappy job they had not hoped for. They both make a venture for their future that will risk their financial stability and will put them in a bind. It doesn't matter if you're 18 or 80....

I didn't care for the fact that I could " kill a commie for mommy" at 18 but couldn't have a beer!!! In FLA where I lived, they changed the drinking age to 18, 3 months before my 21st birthday!!! Basteges

That's nearly as bad as having the bar moved (pun intended) from 18 to 21 when you're 17 yrs and 11 months old, lol.

Meh, I've owned pistols since I was about 12-13. My brother has too. I don't have a problem selling to an 18 year old unless he comes across as a complete idiot but I wouldn't sell to a 40 year old that acted dumb either.

Good luck my friend. I joined this site when I was 18. If there was anything after buying beer that I looked forward to for turning 21, it was not having to deal with this issue again.

I have no problem with people that choose not to sell a handgun to people that are 18-20 years old. It's the clueless morons that jump at the chance to lecture you on their version of the "laws" and call you a criminal that I never could stand. Part of the reason I leave my signature the way that it is so that hopefully this becomes more common knowledge than it is.
