I @#$^%* Hate Roll pins.

Hope I don't get anudder "raciss" demerit ( or ticket or whatever ya' call it) for this, but back when I did some machine work, & the screws, roll pins , bearings , bushings & stuff were ALL made in AMERICA, by AMERICAN CRAFTSMEN, to rigid standards instead of China, Mexico, Malaysia, & all the other places that politicians sold our nation to, they seemed to work fine, hold up, and would work great , even the second or third time around; they were "tougher" .....jus' sayin'

you are correct sir. We are dealing with inferior metal.

It would need to be sorta small, but secure....like a detent pin? ( Just brainstorming)... I don't really see taping the hole for a screw or threaded type fastener. I think dwblock may be on to something with the set pin idea.

Absolutely! The quality over the last 10-15 years has declined dramatically. I am of the same opinion that our American Craftsmanship is far more superior to the cheaper foreign made stuff. It is a matter of costs to most....however cost shouldn't be everything.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind working for $3 an hour....if gas was .50cent a gallon, and milk was .99c a gallon, and nice houses were $20k , and cars were $5k new....:D

That chick in California thinks that the minimum wage there should be $24-25/hr. Problem is the businesses that are Nationwide won't just raise prices in Cali to pay the workers. They will raise prices accross the board in all states to pay more money to a select few in a couple different states. Then the states that aren't onboard with the "Agenda" will be forced deeper into poverty.
