Great idea! Go get into a confrontation with her that she can lie about later. She has already stolen from him.

I didn't say to go over and "confront" her. I said TALK to her. You know, like a human would do.

I guess that's too difficult for the average person to comprehend.

Go to her home with your wife (witnesses), knock on her door and greet her with a smile. Ask her if she's seen anyone prowling because you've had a theft. Then ask her if your shooting disturbs her. When she says yes then ask her what could be done about it. Later, go back with a cake or something nice. That's when you tell her about your security cameras that will make the neighborhood safe from thieves.

Every situation isn't the end of the earth. Sometime a simple, polite conversation can solve these petty problems. Kindness is sometimes the best offensive.

Op can make his own decisions, but I'll be damned if I'm baking a cake for someone who trespassed on my property and stole from me. The time for civil neighborly conversation is over at that point.
