I have a question about something that seems weird.

The post was " Something seems weird". It was about the action being used for Howa 6.5 PRC ".
I had taken loads of crap because I answered another post with the question " What action is used for the 6.5 Creedmoor " and in my research I found both could be used. I found that info in many other forums. I did mention in that other post the length of some 6.5 seating depths exceeded 3". Well immediately I was jumped on by the OG's of ODT and was told it was a short action only. So with that lambasting I took it as I was wrong. " INCORRECT ASSUMPTION on their part! ". I was right as the Howa uses a LA for the 6.5 cartridge. Fact of the matter is that I was confused because I thought every other source I had read that said they used a LA for their 6.5 Creedmoor was completely wrong and that there was no other option. That's why I was concerned about Brownells saying that my barreled action I ordered was indeed a long action. This prompted my original post. The stock being used was just the afterthought " what about " of the original post subject.

Naa naa boo boo
Stick your head in doo doo! 🤣🤣🤣

I just had to do that.

So 6.5CM is short and 6.5PRC can be either or depending on manufacturer. Did my stock answer for brand help at all?

That's sounds like a reasonable deduction. I guess I will just measure the action and see what it looks like. It's still packed away in the in the box so I will take it out and give it a look..Sorry about the long post but I wanted to share everything I heard and read. There was so much contradiction it almost seemed humorous. Confusing as hell as well.
one can hear anything these days. Close to Half of our population said Joe Biden was a great president and would vote for him again.

Yeah! I was confused at the time. I was told the short action was it and that no other option was viable. Even after reading many other builders choosing the LA for their 6.5 builds. They seemed pretty adamant about it in that other post. When I read the Howa specs on the caliber I was buying I thought maybe it was a type "O". So I raised the question or concern maybe the better term, what could be happening. Then several chimed in with " both " including yourself. Which helped me to build out my Boyd's stock for a price quote.

At the time the other member asked what action do you use for a 6.5 Creedmoor. Everyone said SA and would not budge. Even after I explained the longer seating depths causing feed issues in the regular SA rifles. Then one member just added on this post that it would allow for extended seating depths. I guess that solves that equation.

But yes you answer was indeed correct sir and not overlooked. 😁
