I have been working on this star bm9 for a while

Good work so far. If you figure out what to do about the big ass swirl marks on the slide and frame let me know. I traded into one about 2 weeks ago and so far I'm digging it as much as I thought I would. These pistols remind me of Pulp Fiction.
Anyway mine has lots of character and not too much blueing left. Thought about a Cerakote job but then the number one member to handle that has been banned. And I don't wanna spend more customizing it than it's worth. So I'm thinking some nice wood grips and hex head screws and call it done.

Nice work.
I had a Star model BKM-- compact 1911 style with an aluminum frame.
It needed a feed ramp polish job and throating of the chamber on the barrel to work reliably with ANY hollowpoints. I did the work myself and only got it to the point where it was reliable with SOME hollow-point rounds. Maybe a professional gunsmith or more experience amateur would have gotten it to run with even wide-mouth profile HP's.

Good luck with this one.
