Yep…me too. Alatoona, Lanier…. Catfish as big or bigger than VW Beetles ! LMAO
I have hooked some fish at those lakes that have snapped my line like nothing but have never actually saw anything like that or heard of anyone ever seeing one on the surface.
Bull will be bull….. as long as there is someone to tell it and someone to listen the stories grow….but ya never know !!

My father used to tell me that about the river just down the Mt. from me. He used to say that divers used to come up and say they would never dive in there again.

Parksville lake in East Tennessee had that same legend. Not even sure there were any catfish in that lake.

Seems like there would be a pic by now….or a dead one that floated up or something ! I just don’t believe that ALL EVIDENCE has always been just swept away or magically unfounded. Lol.

A guy I worked with said he saw a huge Catfish in lake Lanier scuba diving I ask him what did he do when he saw it He said hide behind a VW till it swam away We all got a big laugh out of his story
