My wife and I had to put our 15 year old shep/lab mix down today. I rescued Maggie 14 years ago when she was just 10 months old and she has been my shadow ever since. We formed a bond that was unbelievable. Maggie was the best dog, friend I've ever had and I've been around dogs for 55 years. She knew just what I wanted from her, to the point where I didn't even have to speak, she could read my mind. It pains me to lose her...she was definitely part of my soul. I will miss her and the joy she brought into our lives, and I look forward to being reunited one day. RIP Maggie, you were and are the best! Love you.
