I.O AK pistol. Good or Bad

Classic firearms was blowing out the pioneer 5.56 AKs for 450 when they went out of business. I couldn't not buy one at that price. From what I read on them the firing pin is the only weak point of the rifle. I don't have too many rounds through it but it's been fine so far and the build quality is pretty good. Hoping a weaker hammer spring will spare my firing pin.
Let me know when you get done with it.

Man to those recommending zastava... they're right. What great quality this guy got with only a couple hundred rounds. 🤭🫢

Pass on the IO. Unfortunately now, a decent AK is going to cost Daniel Defense AR money. A nice AK will cost Radian Model 1 money. A very nice collector AK will run as much as a 3 year life span used car.

Every I.O. (Inter Ordinance Inc.) AK I have had the opportunity to handle, inspect or work on had issues. From cast trunnions chipping away (Stay away from ANY AK variant with cast trunnions), to rivet issues, to questionable spot welding, to being jam-o-matics = there were issues. I wouldn't buy them for the store, and didn't want them in trade when I managed a gun shop.
They may be better now that they have moved to Florida, time will tell.
Here's a good article on them:
