I shipped ammo to some guy.

Well, I have seen with my own eyes how rough Ups can be with packages. I have seen my delivery driver, when I still worked, walk on peoples packages to get to the middle of his truck. I have seen him toss packages from the back to the front of the truck. So I know they get pretty rough on things.

Yes the package was labeled "ORM-D". I then dropped it off at Cherokee to ship because FedEx had me running around. I guess Cherokee used UPs.

You'd have to run over the ammo with a tank to "smash" it.

UPS is all out of tanks, to my knowledge...

Maybe a forklift, but there wouldn't be any box left at that point.

Total BS.

Did you insure it?? If not I would say your responsible although I'm sure you disagree

When I ship things they are ONLY insured if the buyer PAYS for insurance....UNLESS stated and understood prior to the sale that insurance is included in the shipping price. Some people refuse to pay for it so that is the buyer's issue and not the seller's.

How does one 'smash' ammo, exactly? Did he send pics?

Exactly, I'm calling BS on this. I've sold crap on ebay and had people try to pull all kinds of fast ones to get money back... tell him to send pics of the ruined ammo... or to have a nice day.

Tell him to send ammo back for full refund and that you are willing to pay shipping charges, I bet you wont hear anything else out of him.

The shipper has to file any claims and UPS liabilty is to the shipper. If UPS pays any claim, they pay it to the shipper, then the shipper would have to refund the buyer.

If I ship anything, I am insuring it. Whether the buyer wants it or not.
