I took a chance with a newbie yesterday.

I received a PM inquiry about a rifle I had listed from a person with 0 posts and 0 feedback.
Since he PM'd me with honest and accurate questions about the rifle, I scheduled a time/place for him to meet and inspect said rifle.
He showed up on time, brought cash, and was a pleasure to deal with. I left him a positive feedback score and he promptly returned the favor.

Sometimes you have to give a new guy a chance. We all were newbies once upon a time...

Its usually not really hard to tell who is sincere about a deal and who is someone that is trying to get one over on someone - so to speak.

I give newbies a chance if they seem sincere. Good for you CitizenK , glad it went well !

I did the same last week. New member zero feedback. He drove from around six flags to Soperton to meet. He was late but had a flat on the way so no biggie. Was a pleasure to give him his first positive feedback.

I've done deals with several newbies...never any issue.

I'll deal as long as it's not one of these Goobers that leaves his number in my ad and tells ME to call him !!!
