I havent had a bad deal yet and everyone i have ever dealt with have been stand up guys. Keep in mind though i dont buy sale or trade a whole lot. Just lucky i guess.

I'm sure at one point, bellman, that you were new to the ODT. At that time, you possibly had one transaction and I would hope a 100% good feed back.
Did it ever cross your mind that the seller may not have had access to a computer to respond to your PM right away? I'm sure the seller posted a phone number in the contact info as a secondary way of contact. Unfortunately, for you, the seller may have been contacted by other potential buyers via PM and phone. While the seller may have not had computer access to inform you of the "goings on" pertaining to your response with your phone number and your "I'll take it", the seller was able to respond to a buyer via phone that had called previously to make an offer. That transaction was probably completed successfully later in the day.
For any one reading this, I stumbled upon this thread while trying to give bellman a good feed back report because I had sold the item he made an offer on and was unable to convey that information. I did send a PM with an apology, marked the item "gone" and attempted to give a good report for bellman. There was no where on the feed back form for me to say that bellman was a "good and quick responder" in turn for my inability to respond.
So, that brings me to this thread where I see that bellman and many other "ODT Junkies" are complaining about "new people".
Please know this, Some people may not have the time to make a thousand posts, or worry about online stats, or even have access to a computer 24/7. Some people join an interesting site, maybe make a purchase, maybe even sell something...but they may also have other things in their lives that prevent them from spending much time on that interesting site. This isn't meant to offend anyone, however, it is meant to give you "ODT Junkies" a different perspective and maybe help you not jump to conclusions.

being on 24/7 isn't the issue...saying i'll take it, then not being on for 24 hours or ever is...so is saying i'll take it and being on many times but never again responding...things happen, but they don't happen as much as they have been recently...add to that, communicating in writing keeps the confusion of a phone conversation from happening...i NEVER speak to anyone on the phone until the deal is made and the time and place set for meeting...right here on odt in pm is perfect...
