I wouldn't sell any ARs or AKs right now.

I've played violent video games since I was a young child and at no point have I ever committed a violent act without provocation. Hypocrisy is you saying it's easy to blame guns but proceed to easily blame video games.

Nothing is to blame but the rapidly declining mental health of our country, especially the youth. It's time to focus on the real problems and quit pointing fingers at what we don't like.
I agree completely. I think the root of most of these problems is what I call PPP. Piss Poor Parenting. I hear all about counselors to help students deal with what happened. It is not the schools place to help children deal with anything except their education. Reading, writing and arithmetic basically. Teaching them how to cope with life is their parents job. I don't need a bunch of left wingers telling kids how they should feel about anything.

If they outlaw ARs the cartel will just run a special. Buy two keys and get a free AR15. With 5 key purchase we will make it fully auto. You know something to protect your investment. LOL

I grew up when social media got big. I never was one to much care about it and it was because I had other things to keep my attention. The kids I know that got caught up in it either were taught nothing by their parents or they didn’t care enough to listen. All of those kids grew up on sites like tumlr telling them mental disorders and depression were cool, had underage girls posting elicit pictures, people causing serious harm to their bodies for attention, etc.

Now everyone wonders why the youth in this country are so ****ed up. Some parents let social media influence their children's minds because they couldn’t be bothered to. A lot of the people I grew up with are now on hard drugs, in prison, in long term mental rehabilitation, or worse in some cases. Until something is done to give proper parenting, mental care, purpose, and a sense of place for young people nothing in this country will ever improve.

I wouldn't be so sure about that one, Dems are saying they have 12 Republicans that they are sitting down with over the next few days to come to a bi partisan agreement, after that they will force votes, make them go on record etc.

Shumer torpedoed the bi partisan Parkland School Safety act today, saying there will be gun legislation prior to any discussion of that act which he says puts more guns in schools.

Universal background checks and magazine restrictions and some kind of buying restriction on rifles under the age of 21, are more than likely going to pass and if I had to guess it will be before the 4th of July. And whatever else was in the bill sitting there that addresses universal background checks. The restriction on buying rifles under the age of 21 is probably a done deal, especially considering the age of the last 2 incidents and that they both bought them legally.

I don't think they can get the assault weapons ban back...but the others I think are a done deal, there are a lot of spineless republicans in the senate.
As a general rule, I'm all for upping the age on everything to 21. Guns, booze, voting, military, etc. 18yo kids might have been mature and level headed enough to handle the real world and those things years ago, but not now.

I agree. I don't have a problem with upping the buying age to 21. That would have deterred a couple of incidents just in itself.

You think it'll be 2012 all over again?

Think it is going to get that bad again?

Nope... Narrative is wrong (Hispanic) and the timing is off (election year). The focus will be on why the cops waited an hour to go in more than anything else.

And even Schumer said he didn't see any gun control bills moving forward in the Senate.

The Dems push gun control after they win an election, so the majority of voters can forget before the next election. They know that this issue fires up a lot of voters and they are already behind the 8 ball this cycle. No way will they try and push this for real.

Fine, as long as we raise the age limit to join military or be drafted, or to get a driver’s license, to 21 also.

Just never, ever, violate the 11th.
