I hate to admit it but I think he was out looking for trouble and he got in way over his head so he figured he "had no choice".

I hope I NEVER have to take another life, even in defense of myself or my family. However if I do wind up in that situation I'm going to be ripping up my shirt to make bandages and giving him CPR until the police arrive. Even if he is already dead I want to know I did everything I could. At least then my conscience will be clear and I can just put it behind me.

There is a lot more going on and now it appears that the kid may have attacked. I am gonna stop judging these things till all the facts are in. The fact that the Black Panthers placed a bounty on Zimmermans head tells me that he may well have been justified in his actions against that kid.

They are now saying that survellance camera footage is the smoking gun against Zimmerman. I don't know if it has been released yet but it SUPPOSEDLY shows him being escorted by the police in handcuffs and that he has no evidence of any struggle....i.e. broken nose, cuts, bruises, etc.

Regardless of the outcome of this, Zimmerman has made it harder for us that carry for self protection. This incident makes us all look like Charles Bronson in Death Wish.

I personally believe he should have stayed in his residence and been a good witness on the phone for the Police. It is their job, not his to investigate a suscpicious person.

I've seen it and there is no blood or signs of a broken nose. I also see nothing on the back of his head. Honestly, if the paramedics did clean him up, they did an excellent job. Every broken nose I've ever seen was a gusher and it'd be impressive to not get any blood on your clothing. *shrug* I need more facts.

I carry because I took an oath to protect the citizens of this great country against all enemies forgien or domestic, and I am prepared to die in there defense. I guess that's what makes us different. When under attack,I run towards the gunfire...
