Yeah I wanted to do it in the yard but this rain had me worried about it getting into the oil. We've got a small canopy style cover but it's not very wide. I do have an extinguisher on stand by though just incase things go south. The turkey turned out looking good but haven't tasted yet.

Bought one of these http://www.amazon.com/Char-Broil-TR...416168306&sr=8-1&keywords=char+broil+big+easy about a year ago and still haven't used it for a turkey yet. I will this year though. Hopefully the raves are accurate.

I used it on a roast and it was excellent. I have a few friends that have them and they really like it. I'll definitely post a review. If we have too many leftovers you might get to decide for yourself what kind of job it did.After you use it please post a review...... inquiring minds would like to know......
