Not really an auction per se. An auction has a time limit and other parameters already set. I just treat it as it's my item to do as I please.
The thing most buyers don't know is the mentality of the seller. Take For instance, a rifle I just posted. I had in mind from the start that I was going to listen to offers for a couple days to feel it out and see what I could get. I didn't need to sell it or trade it, I was just checking. If I hadn't got a suitable offer I would have been just fine keeping it. Some people are just more laid back about this stuff.
As it turned out, I traded the rifle for a pistol I haven't even shot yet and I'm considering putting the pistol up for trade on a different rifle. When I decide, I'll post it.
