The research that I've found shows it as .243 high power safari grade. Browning contracted work to FN Belgium a short period later FN gave the only company they thought to be up to the task because of their quality gave sako of Finland a contract to build we hade #s looked up the ending z69 showed built 1969 by sako for Browning and FN it's a bit confusing is it FN sako Browning all 3 .and it said to check for a specific number engraved under the bolt lever which was more evidence of sako Browning. Sako barrel, bolt etc. Any knowledge and expertise on this one would be greatly appreciated thanks ODT'ers
