Insurance, who do you have, do you like them? issues? Opinions?

Progressive did that to a family friend on the way to look at a house. Got tboned in the front and said due to being less than 2 miles from home had to pay for his own tow or drive home.... Never had to use geico but when I worked for a State Farm agent, people used to get upset coming out of pocket then having to come in the office for a reimbursement check.

After seeing how progressive handled the claim and not wanting to fix the bent suspension or look at anything besides body damage, I will say I won't ever recommend them.

Do NOT EVER use progressive. They suck, they always cut a check way lower than what they need to hoping you will take the money and run. Some body shops will not repair your vehicle and all of them frown when you tell them that you have Progressive ins. We waited 6 weeks for a 3 week repair because of their BS.

If you are ex military, go with USAA. They blew everyone out of the water. Great company and I could not be happier. I was with State Farm for 35 years and USAA cut my premium in half....with the same coverage.
^THIS ^ If you were a dependent of someone in the military they will also take you. They are the best.

Everyone better hope they never get in a accident with anyone who has auto owners for their insurance . A guy pulled out in front of me ,and he had it .It took forever for them to fix my truck ,and they still have not taken care of all the bills . They suck major donkey parts . I hope their claim office catches fire ,and they cant get out .

Amica we switched from Allstate because of that creeping up every year, no claims in 20 years, they don't care. we switched to Amica Ins, best thing we have done for ourselves in years!!!!

This!

Hard to get on without a very clean record, been with Amica for about 10 years now. 3 vehicles cost us approx $185/mo, plus get a dividend check for about $195 each year.

I had State Farm for years and was in process of searching for cheaper but comparable coverage...THEN I totalled 2 cars in 17 days about 2 years ago and did not have a single trouble with the claims (was even able to negotiate my payout check on one vehicle due to increased market value found on it) and I believe I had my insurance go up something like $25-30 wither a month or 6 months (gotta look back at statements). In any case, not very much in my book for keeping my insurance and good coverage...My insurance runs $200-205 in any given month for 2 vehicles (500 deductible) & house insurance (1%). My 3 years runs out this coming summer so my rates should start creeping back down hopefully. The Cincinnati ins sounds interesting & never heard of them so will have to ck them out.

USAA has great rates, but they really screwed us on a car claim.

Some guy hit my wife's car-and they owned us diminished value. They paid only about $150 diminished value when it should have been about $700. With a claim like that, you have to hired a special appriaser-and guyss what they cost-$500. USAA figured out exactly what it would have cost to sue them, and shorted us by that amount. I was not happy.

I know folks have a lot bigger complaints about other companies, but I thought that was some petty ass ****. If I were retired, I would have definitely sued just to cause them to regret shorting us. I just don't have time for that to come out maybe $100 ahead of where I would have been. And small claims is always a crapshoot anyhow.

Claims are where the rubber meets the road. I think all insurance companies tend to disappoint. I have stayed with USAA-but if they ever pull some two-bit crap like that again, I'm out.
