Trying to get my son off the computer some and in the woods anyway possible. He likes shooter type games, so what better way to get him active then some good old run n gun in the woods? So with that said, I need some ideas on entry level electronic paint ball guns ext. Don't care about prices just need durability. Any recommendations?

That's a great idea, he's 13 so I don't know If I missed that opportunity?
Kids can start out at the troop level after completing the 5th grade, so he's good to go. He can stay active at the Troop level until he's 18. Check around, your area should have several to pick from. I would advise that you visit a couple different Troops and see which one seems like the best fit. All Troops have a different "personality" based on youth and adults. Most will meet weekly and have an outdoor activity planned once a month. Scouting is something you can enjoy with him. Kids can learn lots of different skills and get into some leadership skills as they get older. This year my son will be on the summer camp staff for his second year. One of my Eagle Scouts just finished Army Basic training, he got his expert marksman and a rank bump due to things he learned in Scouting I'm active in the Northwest Ga Council, you would be looking at the Atlanta Council, but I would offer any help that you need

Tipmans are what most rentals are, usually Custom 98’s. They’re purely mechanical, reliable and easy to clean/maintain. For entry level, look at Kingman Spyders for electronic.

Watch out though, like any hobby it gets spendy quick (barrel upgrades, auto feed hoppers, converting from co2 to high pressure air…)

Yeah maybe take him to a paintball place and rent guns and go play to see if he would like it. I loved it in HS had my Tippman 98 with a long barrel and nice adjustable stock. Also seconded scouts although I personally liked venture crew more than scouts themselves because it was more older kids and more interesting campouts to me though I think you have to be like 15 or so to join them
