Is anyone else constantly being prompted to upgrade their Java?

Starting this evening, I keep getting notices when accessing ODT that my Java is out of data and I need to update. I manually went to my control panel and upgraded from Oracle, so I know I'm up to date. Furthermore, it looked like the notice wasn't pointing to Oracle!

The new Firefox and Internet explorers I think block java now. What operating system you running

Yea I'm having the same issue as OP. I'm on Google Chrome and running Windows 7 Home Premium. I get a pop up that says my Java is out of date and all of a sudden I am redirected to a site to download the upgrade. I hit "Agree" and the setup.exe opens up at the bottom of my screen. It runs for a minute then says "Failed - Virus detected".

And my Security Essentials keeps telling me there is a virus that was detected and cleaned.

I am getting the same alert but won't open it...doesn't look like oracles page....I think it is fake

I had had the same issue on my personal laptop with IE and Chrome as well as my work laptop, the update that kept popping up wouldn't work., I went to java.com and downloaded the update from there and I am not having any problems anymore.
