Is Keltec the Waffle House waitress of guns?

For the record the P3AT is no longer listed on KelTec site. Also they told me they were phasing it out when I talked to the reps last summer.
I believe they saw the writing on the wall as far as pocket pistols in 380. The P3AT was ground breaking when introduced in I believe 99. But now there's better options from several sources. Same thing happened to the P11. It was great back in 96/97. Probably the first 9mm pocket rocket. And being able to stick a full size Smith 59 series mag in it was a nice option ...at the time.

Still got my P11, gen 1 Kel-Tec carbine, and S&W 59. And a stack of 10, 12, 17, and 30 rd magazines.

I always wanted a Marlin Camp 9 . They use the Smith mags too. And when I had my P11 when I first joined here I was searching for the Camp 9. But damn the prices went crazy on them.

I had a Camp 45 for awhile, neat little rifle, but I got tired of the low mag capacity, traded it off for something.

P-11 yup, one of the earliest subcompacts, loved mine except the horrible trigger. PF-9 Oh boy! A thinner P-11! but it wouldn't retain magazines. P3AT. My edc, very reliable, disappears in my front pocket and pie plate accurate at parking lot encounter ranges. P-15 under test and evaluation, good so far. Tempted by the SU16ca.

I like the looks of the SU16 rifles but you don't see them very often. The PLR16 is pretty sweet especially if you can SBR it with the factory stock/brace mount.
I've had two P3ATs . The wife took one to go with her Bodyguard and I gave the other to one of my oldest friends who is a night shift cop at Mercer University. I like them even though they're kinda dated these days. Again, I love my P32. I traded into a PF9 with one of my bosses. Actually I gave him $125.00 to go towards a $200.00 Taurus G2. I've had one before and it's not my favorite pocket nine but it's okay. I liked the Taurus 709 Slim a lot better. I dig my Sub2K a lot. I traded a Ruger PC9 for it. Yeah the Ruger is probably a better quality rifle but it was heavy as hell for what it was supposed to be. Plus I didn't really see a lot of use for the take down function. Now I want that ugly ass Charger pistol version.
I'll be the first to admit that Kel Tec has had their share of issues. But they DO innovate to some degree and innovation don't always work out the first time around. I hope to see more cool **** from them in the future.
