Is my 1853 half dime indeed only worth 5 cents ?

I collect half dimes. This one looks to be in pretty good shape. My guess is it is worth around $20, but don't quote me on that. Some years are more valuable than others.

What is funny/sad is that just on the face value and it's date, it is worth $1.45.

This one has the arrows but no mint mark. At least I don't see a mint mark. Decent condition. Book value will probably put it around $30.
