Its been a while since I have reloaded and bought any components.. Is it now cost effective to reload say 6.5 CM and 308 vs buying retail match ammo (FGMM)?? not benchrest shooting, but prs style shooting.

$1.44 for FGMM for each free shipping..Brass - about 28c for recycled, 50c new (Hornady) per piece
Projectiles - Sierra Match kings at about 30c each. If you're picky, expect to pay up to 50c
Powder - depending on your choice, maybe 250 rounds to the pound - so maybe 25c per case
Primers = 8c ea for CCI-grade
So, somewhere between 90c to $1.20 for the components per round if you go with SMKs, a bit of variation depending on the choice of 6.5 or 308
$1.44 for FGMM for each free shipping..
Not worth $40 every 200How much is your time worth and how good are your reloads?

I've reloaded for years, it's just been years since I've reloaded.. I'm just comparing prices vs time at this pointIt's pretty easy to make good ammo, start with the best components and keep everything the same. A digital scale is a game changer, weigh the bullets, case and powder as components and then weigh them after assembly. Keep everything within a grain or 2 separate and use them for keeps, practice with the others. Truth be told you probably won't see any difference especially when using a hunting rifle.
