Not about carrying openly vs. concealed carry.

The man was doing nothing wrong. Exercising in the same park, in the same way he has for the past few years.

A security guard, who was very uninformed, got his feelings hurt, and decided prove his point. Unfortunately, he and his company will learn a valuable lesson shortly.

Like i told you already, if the guy was acting the way the report say's , i can see it!! Were they wrong ? Maybe ! Was he wrong for acting like a dick? Possibly!

To be honest i really could care less, who needs a ****ing firearm while exercising, if that old man is that scared he should stay home!!

I do not care if you change your mind or not, as that is not the issue. You are free to carry how and when you want.

I just find it amazing that anybody would think it is Ok for a person to be arrested for being "rude".

I say good luck with your lawsuit. I hope it works out. I may have to visit this park and open carry myself. It bothers me greatly that more pro gun folks will not stand up like jsquared did here. I salute you sir and wish you the best of luck!

Im in full agreement! I open carry everyday and I do not do so to intimidate or make a scene. I do so in the case that I have to use it its there and easy to access. After recently taking Will Dunn's (coupe de maine training) intermediate pistol course, I will no longer conceal tuft of the back. I feel much more comfortable open carrying anyway. I hate that it may make others uncomfortable but if folks used common sense then they would think and realize that most criminals arent going to broadcast that they are carrying a firearm. I hope Pirkle sues their pants off for an unlawful detainment and for a bull****/bogus charge.

I read that also.

In his post on GPDO, his says "apparently I ask to sing"....which leads me to believe he may not have, but I have no knowledge of that.

It is pretty funny though. Makes me wonder if it was added after the fact, or if he was trying to break the tension of the situation.

Just to make sure we are all clear, Pirkle is the name of the park where the gentleman was stopped.

It is a park in the city of Sugar Hill.
