Is this gap above the grip normal for a 2022 Walther PPK/S ?

I'm new to the PPK/s world and was wondering if the gap seen in the pics is of concern? I'm also uploading a pic from Walther's website that shows the same model pistol without the gap. It seems that debris could get into the works and gunk it up while I'm carrying it. Thanks in advance

That's what I was thinking too. I have been searching online and a lot of the images people are posting on various forums etc seem to have the same gap. I guess it's not a big deal
