Item Description: Original (very!) Moore & Harris percussion side by side shotgun - estimate from 1850-1860 London.

Lots of unique engraving details - nice English Straight Stock. Checkering has significant wear appropriate for a working gun this age or one that has been refinished once or twice. It has the original cleaning/ram-rod shown in photos. This has been over a mantle in one family for 30 years.

This is a seasoned complete Shotgun that is about 160 years old - a great display piece or re-enactor weapon

Barrel is approx 30 inch 1/4. has a couple of small dents near the 25 inch mark. No real traces of color case hardening remain - just patina - more color does reveal the more it is wiped down.

In 30 years we've never made any effort to refinish this one.

Also - the trigger pulls are super smooth and low effort. The silver circles on the sides of each breech (beneath nipple) are platinum plugs - if the gun is ever overloaded they are designed to break free and preserve the firearm - not super rare but super cool.

This is a solid display or re-enactment weapon - 450 is my lowest price - may trade for a 1911 of equivailent value - 45 acp only

Black powder only fellers.

Can be loaded and used in re-enactments using percussion caps pyrodex or blackpowder (I'd only shoot wads for visuals)
