Item Description: 1985 Mercedes 300D Turbo Diesel. Engine runs amazingly, but the trans is acting up as they are known to do. Reverse works, forward gears slip to the point of being undriveable. I changed out the B2 valve and did a trans flush with filter and it drove around fine for a while but then started to do the same thing. I believe it still needs more flushing to get the fluid passages clean but I'm not sure of ultimately what it will need. Brakes, tires, and struts are new. Oil change and filter done, serviceable vacuum pump installed so you don't have to pop the hood to shut it off. Car has a SALAVAGE GA title, I'm not sure from what because I can't find any damage under the car or freshly painted parts. You are able to obtain a rebuilt title in GA I just never managed to do it since I wasn't driving it. Will sell under a bill of sale. I also have a Silver 1985 300d turbo parts car available with almost exactly the milage of this one that I would be willing to make a deal on as well

Mileage? Body rust? Trans good in the silver car?
Both are showing around 227k, either coincidence or the odometers break around that time. I was told the trans had the same issue on the silver car, but I never investigated it. It's a pretty common problem on these unfortunately. No body rust on the red one, haven't dug into the silver but it's also pretty solid
