Item Description: Offered up for sale is this 458 Socom upper that I assembled this using parts from KAK industries (Barrel and Receiver). Specs on the barrel: 16” carbine-length gas, 4150 CMV melonite finish, 1x14 twist, .750” gas journal, 5/8x24 twist. The upper is their XL with enlarged opening for the wider 458 casing. It came from the vendor with tooling marks from the enlargement showing raw aluminum (ugghhh). I touched this up with a Birchwood Casey flat black pen.

This setup includes a SOTA Arms 458 bolt carrier group and a milspec charging handle. The upper is complete with OD green BTE adjustable gas block, Magpul OD green hand guards, and a thread protector. Optic, optic mount, and sling mount are not included.

I have probably put 60 rounds or so down the pipe and took a deer with it two years ago. This upper has functioned flawlessly during its limited use.

Selling because my deer stand setup this year will have a lot more shooting distance. I will be taking my 6.8 upper.

Also included are 19 rounds of Wilson Combat 250gr MFX and 23 rounds of Freedom Munitions 300gr round nose flat point.
