Item Name: FS 50 lbs Tannerite Exploding Target

Location: Gainesville

Zip Code: 30506

Item is for: Sale Only
Sale Price: $65.00

Willing to Ship: No

Bill of Sale Required?: No

Item Description: I have a 50 lb box of Tannerite type exploding target. It is actually US Chemical supply brand but it is the same chemicals. You can shoot the whole thing or make smaller targets. Please be sure to do research on how far away you need to be before shooting. It can be a lot of fun but is dangerous if you are not far enough away. The bigger the target the farther away you should be. This has not been mixed. They have mixing instructions on their website if you don't want to shoot all at once. It is much cheaper than buying the little targets. I bought it to cut down some trees and this is leftover.

Selling for $65
I paid over $100

That's a damn good price. The last time I bought Tannerite (15 years ago)
(the real stuff)

I believe it was $80 for a case of twenty 1/2 pound plastic bottles.
That was $80 for 10 pounds of the stuff total .

And I agree that it is not only efficient but almost as much fun to have more shooting at smaller targets than to use a big box of it all at once.

If you want a binary explosive target that is physically large and easy to hit but does not use that much tannerite material in it, you can make the container shallow, but wide. Like a frisbee or a pie plate, only 3/4 inch thick but a foot across.

Cardboard boxes made to hold assortments of chocolate candies work great because they're not thick, but they are wide. You do have to pull out those little plastic dividers that separate the candy pieces from each other, though.
