That's a damn good price. The last time I bought Tannerite (15 years ago)
(the real stuff)

I believe it was $80 for a case of twenty 1/2 pound plastic bottles.
That was $80 for 10 pounds of the stuff total .

And I agree that it is not only efficient but almost as much fun to have more shooting at smaller targets than to use a big box of it all at once.

If you want a binary explosive target that is physically large and easy to hit but does not use that much tannerite material in it, you can make the container shallow, but wide. Like a frisbee or a pie plate, only 3/4 inch thick but a foot across.

Cardboard boxes made to hold assortments of chocolate candies work great because they're not thick, but they are wide. You do have to pull out those little plastic dividers that separate the candy pieces from each other, though.
