We offer two types of Level III plate armor. The first is an extremely lightweight, neutrally buoyant polyethylene plate, weighing 3.2 lbs. The other is made from an extremely rugged ballistic grade steel core (AR500). It is stress fracture resistant and designed to handle extreme abuse in day-to-day use, training, and less than ideal storage conditions. Specifications: rated for calibers up to 7.62x51 (.308 Winchester) at 2,780 fps. Dimensions: 10”x12” and 11"x14". Width .25” Weight varies according to plate size. 100% Made in the USA.
The Level III+ plate use an improved ultra-hard ballistic steel core (AR550), further enhancing performance over the level III line, with nearly a 30% increase in core strength. Level III+ armor offers enhanced ballistic protection against 5.56x45 M193, 5.56x45 M855/SS109, and 7.62x51 M80 Ball & Black Tip AP (.308) rifle threats.
We also provide Level IV armor piercing protection plates and soft trauma pads for all levels and sizes of plates.
