Item Description: After years of use, I finally have to part with my semi-auto Bren gun. This is definitely a shooter-grade gun, not in pristine or museum quality condition. The welds are NOT pretty, but it's very functional build nonetheless. It was built from a 1942 parts kit manufactured by the Monotype Group.

The gun includes 3 barrels:
  • one for standard .303 British
  • one fitted with an internal blank-firing adapter for re-enactment use (firing .303 blanks)
  • one rechambered for 7.62x54R

The bolt head has been modified to accept the wider base of 7.62mm Russian, and the gun includes a ZB-39 magazine that can be used with this caliber. I've had the best luck shooting Brown Bear through it. It might take some trial and error to figure out what cycles best.

This Bren uses the standard striker-fired conversion typical for semi-auto builds of this kind. The lower receiver, bolt, and bolt carrier have been modified so that they can't be readily replaced with F/A parts. US made parts have also been used for 922r compliance, but I don't have a full list.

In addition to the semi-auto rifle, I'm including:
  • the three barrels mentioned above
  • an original canvas barrel carrier
  • four .303 magazines
  • one ZB-39 magazine for 54R
  • canvas sling
  • 40 rounds of Prvi Partisan .303 British
  • 80 rounds of Wolf .303 British
  • 100 rounds of surplus 7.62x54R
  • bag of blank-firing .303 (about 80 rounds)

If you have any questions, I'll answer them as best as I can. This is a fun gun to shoot, and even more fun to run around in the woods with (if you don't mind the weight). Thanks for looking!

There are three cuts to the receiver. One of them is right were the barrel lock is located.

I bought this 19 years ago and unfortunately I don't have any surviving info on the builder or seller.

You're correct! I missed the mag that was already in the gun. The total is four .303 mags.

I'm happy to talk about price! If you have an offer feel free to send it my way.
