This is a Browning Stainless Steel Stalker with B.O.S.S. in 300 Win Mag. I purchased it new about 20 years ago. It has had 7 rounds fired through it – the last taking a deer at 250 yards bulls-eye right through the vitals with no effort.
" ... three-shot group obtained during the BOSS development measured an incredible .051" at 100 yards, using factory loaded ammunition." Most people would be thrilled to get a group size 10X as large.
It has an outstanding trigger, and the bolt feels like it is riding on silk.
I purchased the scope at the same time. It is a Leupold VX3, 4.5 X 14, 50 mm with Adjustable Objective.
When I purchased this setup, the rifle was a $1000 rifle and the Scope wasn’t much less.
It comes with 3 boxes of high grade Remington ammo – minus 7 rounds. If you are a deer hunter that as access to wide open spaces or power lines, or going out west for Elk or Moose, or just enjoy long distance shooting, this fits the bill.
The B.O.S.S. allows the barrel to be tuned to your specific ammo making almost any ammo shoot spectacularly. The B.O.S.S. has a standard recoil body and a muzzle brake body. Presently the one with the brake is installed – it cuts down the Recoil by HALF!!!! That number comes from Browning. This is a very sweet shooter.
