Item Description: Up for sale is a WWI dated and early produced French Mle. M.16 Berthier carbine manufactured by the Châtellerault Arsenal. This one is rarer find because it is not post World War 1 converted. This can be seen through still containing its cleaning rod, the wood not being cutout to expose the serial number & further expose the rear sight, and not having an N marking (to accept Ball N ammo). Matching numbers from where I found serial numbers (bolt, bolt head, barrel, trigger guard, and cleaning rod) and it was manufactured in 1917 during WW1. Will come with 2 clips which are needed to properly function the rifle. No import marks have been found. Please feel free to comment below or message me with any questions or offers!
