Item Description: Serial # starts with 5k93xxx so it's from 1974 but I am not sure if it was originally blue or nickle.
I have seen this finish referred to as bead blasted/frosted/vapor honned/matte so call it what you want but I think it looks great with the blonde grips.
Unfortunately, I do not know who makes the grips.
No box and no papers but it's fantastic shape. Passed down from my late uncle.

Is it cerakoted? Wouldn’t a 19 rust if it was just media blasted?

It is not cerakoted. I am not sure what it's actually called but it seems like it was done well.

Did S&W ever do a P&R 19 in satin nickel? If this was shiney nickel I would be racing you to it.

The stocks look like Ahrends in curly maple. Very nice.

Probably a hard chrome plating. Several companies offer this service.

Very tough finish and wears better than anything else , if that is what it is.

No I forgot to mention aftermarket refinish. They did it in several but not the model 19
